Hotel check out. Board private coach to the Southern shore of Iceland towards the town of Vik. Waterfalls that make your jaw drop and black sandy beaches that go far beyond what the eye can see is just half of what you are about to witness on this tour. Our first stop will be Seljalandsfoss and Gljufrabui; Two waterfalls close to Thorsmorkvalley. Seljalandsfoss is of course famous because the ability to walk behind it.
Lunch at the UMI Hotel
A 30-minute drive will take us to Dyrholaey, easily recognized due to the holes in the bottom of the cliff where the ocean flows under. The view from the top is magnificent, as you can see over the south shore to both directions and as far as the eyes can see south over the Atlantic Ocean. Continue to Reynisfjara black sand beach, take a stroll on the black sand and contemplate the waves of the north Atlantic break on the beach. Our natural wonders tour finishes at Halsanefshellir (cave) and Reynisdrangar. Then we drive to the quaint town of Vik, our base for two nights.
Check in Hotel Kría. Time to unpack and explore the town. Dinner at Sudur-Vik Restaurant. Perched on a hill, with a breathtaking view above the town of Vík, this quaint restaurant is a favorite with the townsfolk as well as travelers. From heaping steak sandwiches to Asian, they are perhaps surprisingly known for their fabulous curry dishes and locally made ice cream.
